Trends, Applications and Challenges of Soft Robots
The second Soft Robotics Week was held in Livorno on April 25-30, 2016.
More than 140 participants joined the events of the week, 38 selected PhD students participated to the working group activities of the School, 28 invited speakers presented the latest technologies and systems in soft robotics during plenary talks at the School and at the Plenary Meeting, or participated as panelists in the panel discussion sessions, 17 robots from 9 international universities competed in the Grand Challenge, 3 winners of the Grand Challenge, the Terrestrial Race and the Manipulation competition were awarded with the 5k€ prize.
It was an exciting week totally dedicated to Soft Robotics, featuring a unique concentration of several scientific, cultural and educational events and the RoboSoft Grand Challenge.
International experts across multiple fields in the scientific community of soft robotics, industrial leaders, young researchers and students, met together to discuss current trends and applications for soft robots and their prospects for the future.
